About Clinical Hypnotherapy and Services

01.

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we all go into. Have you ever driven down the highway or through the city and all of a sudden you arrive at your destination, but you don't really have too much of a recollection of how you got there? That is your mind going into a light stage of hypnosis. You do this naturally every day, multiple times a day without even realizing it.

02.

It is important to note that Clinical Hypnotherapy is nothing like stage hypnotizing.

If you have ever watched Stage Hypnosis it may appear as though the person

doesn’t know what is happening to them. Or, is not in control of what they are doing. Clinical Hypnotherapy is the exact opposite.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is not mind-control, you will always be aware of what is going on, you will not be made to do things you don't want to do. You will be fully awake throughout the session, hear and remember every word that is spoken, you can never be made to say, or do, anything you don’t want to. If I or anyone else were to give you suggestions that you didn’t feel

comfortable with, or that you didn't morally approve of, you would simply and easily come out of hypnosis.

You will never give away any secrets, or be made to act in a derogatory way.

You are in control. At the same time, you are also deeply relaxed.

03.

During a session you might not even think you were in hypnosis at all. We are all different. Some

people go into a very relaxed state, others remain in a light relaxed

state, people drift into different levels of conscious awareness.

The goal is for you to just be relaxed and let your consciousness decide for you. In this state of relaxation your subconscious mind is open and receptive

to the suggestions given to you. Provided they are the suggestions that

you consciously want to take effect.

04.

The mind is made up of 3 conscious parts.

The Conscious, The Preconscious and the Subconscious.

For example, think of an iceberg, it’s a pretty popular analogy.

You can probably picture it.

So the visible part of the iceberg is your Conscious Mind, it takes in

everything around you, smells, colors, immediate thoughts, etc.

Then there’s the part of the iceberg, just below the water's surface,

not crystal clear but you can see the shadow of it. That’s the

Preconscious Mind, that consists of thoughts that you can retrieve

quickly, birthdates, phone numbers, sometimes names, certain

memories, etc.

Then there is the massive underside of the Iceberg that you don’t see

but you know it’s there. That’s the Subconscious Mind.

It holds all kinds of information and memories, but it also holds the

thoughts, feelings and beliefs that make us the people we are.

For example, when you are eating a favorite food from your childhood

and it gives you all the comfort and joy while you are eating it, those

memories come from the Subconscious. It's not necessarily the food that

tastes good, it's the feelings ( and memories) that are triggered from the

Subconscious Mind.

And that's where Hypnotherapy work is done.

Taking suggestions and gently, in the safest possible way,

put them in your Subconscious Mind to help you.
